Take the lead in the delivery of Gumala’s Housing Support program. This program is the first of its kind offered by Gumala and aims at supporting our most vulnerable Members in the Pilbara who are affected by homelessness, urgent or ongoing medical conditions, and severe overcrowding.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for:
Guiding and directing the team to deliver case management support to program participants in the Pilbara.
Providing mentoring and training.
Maintaining and developing positive relationships with external stakeholders.
Reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and legislation.
Ensuring risk management.
Ensuring records and documentation requirements are well-maintained in our electronic database.
Our ideal candidate will have:
A passion for engaging and building relationships within the community.
Demonstrated experience coordinating a team.
Extensive experience in social housing delivery.
Knowledge of WA Residential Tenancy Act ’87 and related regulations.
Relevant qualification in a related field (e.g. social work, human services, community services) and/or relevant experience.
Professionalism and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.
Knowledge and experience working with the Gumala Traditional Owners is highly desirable.

This full-time opportunity is offered on an initial 12-month Fixed Term Contract (with the possibility of extension) and is based in the Pilbara.
